Working in a record store back in college, girls would sometimes come in playing some form of dress up trying to look like Madonna. So nostalgia, if nothing else, causes me to have a somewhat favorable view of the material girl even when I might otherwise not be so inclined.
I’m tempted to see if there are any record stores in existence anymore just to see if someone will come in wearing something like this…
I watch the hockey playoffs, it’s just what I do. This year has been kinda strange since my team was eliminated several weeks before the playoffs even began. So imagine my confusion as I watched the Red Wings/Ducks game and found myself cheering for Detroit of all things.
How did that happen?
They’re playing Anaheim.
OK, well then, carry on.
I know hockey fans are supposed to lose interest in the playoffs when our team is eliminated but I guess I’m weird that way. The one advantage to your team being eliminated before it even starts is you can pick a new team each round. So, umm, go Canucks…
And here’s to hoping Modano comes back for another year. or two.
The paint dried. He watched. He was good at it too. Few people understood just how difficult it was, how much discipline it required to it right. If the paint started to run or drip, and you tried to do something about it, you were no longer watching you were doing. That simply would not do. That was easy though, most quickly learned to just watch. But discipline required that you not see or be aware of the drips, the runs, the mistakes. Simply noticing them meant you were watching the paint drip, or run, or you were criticizing the efforts of the painter instead of watching it dry. He most certainly was not guilty of such amateurish behavior.
He was good.
Currently my characters are called character one and well, honestly I only have one character. But I think some sort of interesting name would help move things along. Maybe something clever, like Chad Ocho Cinco…
I think my story would be better if it had a character in it. Perhaps more than one would be nice.
